Wonderful bread. Great little authentic bakery filled with wonderful smells and delicious baked goods. I tried several loaves of homemade bread and it was Worth driving out of the way to pick up more.
Locally owned, small bakery serving up the best baked goods in the area. Check out the fresh baked breads (good selection) and look at the fresh pies and cakes. Of course there are plenty of small bites if you wish to treat yourself after a nice walk through the several small shops that surround this bakery. Cookies, pies, coffee... seating inside as well. Service was fast and the lady was super friendly. Bread can be cut for you in the store. We bought a strawberry shortcake for a birthday and it was a-m-a-z-I-n-g!! I believe the word "perfect" was said about five times from the birthday girl while she ate her slice. Fresh strawberry slices between the layers, fluffy frosting that wasn't sweet or heavy and not from a can, moist delicious cake. Oh man that was delicious! We'll be returning customers for sure. The cake was $30 and well worth it for the quality and size we received. Some seating inside. Parking around the side in a parking lot or on the side street. Plenty of shops to visit nearby as well.
If you are coming to Downtown Frederick, come here! They have amazing baked goods but I will highlight my favorites. The scones are fantastic. They are not typically British scones but they are dry and mild. The coconut scones are great. I usually get a chicken empanada every time I go there around lunch time. The are filling and not very spicy. If you like tres leches cake, try this one, you will not be disappointed.
My wife and I recently stopped by here for her birthday. So glad we did. This quaint little bakery is crammed with deliciousness! We picked up a few dessert items. Our personal favorites was the blueberry lemon cake, the chocolate covered cheesecake, and the triple chocolate cake. I also picked up a fresh loaf of country French bread. IT WAS INCREDIBLE. This bakery also makes fresh empanadas. We will most definitely come here again!

I can't speak to the taste, service, or atmosphere of Stone Heath Bakery (they were closed when I stopped by) but the *smell* of their bread was absolutely incredible. My wife and I were walking by (while visiting Frederick) when we were caught up in the smell of their bread. Not to worry, we're planning to return to Frederick when Stone Heath Bakery is open! We can't wait to try their bread.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! This is my “go to” place any time I need special treats! Whether for special gatherings such as birthdays, luncheon gatherings, or simply dropping by a friend or relative for a visit and cup of tea. Some of the reviews mention poor service. I can truly say I have NEVER had a bad experience!
